Ryan McManus

Committee Assignments: Outreach, Public Affairs

Email: ramcmanus@email.wm.edu

Hi, my name is Ryan.  I hail from Iowa, but have spent the past twelve years in Virginia.  I’ve been active in student government in some form or another since freshmen year of high school and served on Barrett Hall Council and as Treasurer of the Class of 2013 prior to be elected to the Senate.  In addition, I’m a member of Catholic Campus Ministries, College Republicans, and Eminent Recorder for Sigma Alpha Epsilon.  Academically, I’m an Economics major with the possibility of a major in French.  My favorite things to do on campus are living in French House, playing pool at SC, canoeing on Lake Matoaka, and jumping the Governor’s Wall.  I hope to encourage fiscal responsibility, promote good relations with the Williamsburg community as part of Public Affairs, and listen to students and organizations as part of Outreach.

Grace Colby

Committee Assignments: Finance (Chair), Outreach

Hello, my name is Grace Colby. Other than being a senator for the class of 2013, I am on the crew team and a member of Young Democrats. My experiences in these different groups this past year have given me a broad perspective on our community and have helped me understand some of your concerns. I am planning on being an International Relations major with a minor in Economics. I spend much of my time in Swem, but I make sure to spend plenty of time with friends as well! I look forward to serving as a senator this year and as secretary of both the Public Affairs and Finance Committees. One of my main goals this year is to improve the College’s sustainability, as well as improving communications with the student body so that the Student Assembly can better serve you.

Noah Kim

Committee Assignments: Finance, Public Affairs; Chair of the Senate

Email: njkim@email.wm.edu

Heralded by the Dog Street Journal as “student,” Noah Kim is an active member of the Student Assembly, and in that capacity is Chair of the Senate for some reason. His love of argument in part led to his involvement in SA, as well as in the William and Mary Debate Society and the Community Scholars House. He is also involved in Leadership in Community Engagement and the Community Service Class Partnership, and is a dues-paying member of Circle K International. In his spare time, Noah enjoys registering you to vote in Williamsburg, over-priced coffee, and writing biographies about himself in the third-person.
