First Annual I Am WM 5K! Sunday April 10, 2011

I am absolutely thrilled to announce the first annual “I Am WM 5K”!  This race will take place on April 10, 2011, kicking off “I Am WM Week”.

Who: W&M Student Assembly Diversity Initiatives Committee
What: 5K Race for all ages
When: Sunday April 10, 2011 at 1 p.m. (registration and packet pick-up begins at 11 a.m.)
Where: W&M Student Rec Center
Why: To help your peers by supporting a scholarship fund for students in financial need.
How: Register at the SC tables or send completed registration forms with check, cash, or Express to CSU 0446.

This race, facilitated by the Student Assembly with the help of Colonial Road Runners, performs the dual function of both supporting a scholarship fund to help W&M students in need and raising awareness about socioeconomic diversity on campus.  We all know that education isn’t cheap, and your support of the “I Am WM 5K” helps your peers who otherwise may not be able to afford to attend William & Mary.
