The Mental Health of the Campus Community

The Student Assembly Executive Committee for Diversity Initiatives is sponsoring a panel titled, “Mental Health Issues in the W&M Community.” This panel is aimed at exploring diversity through a new lens, the diversity of mental health here on campus. Each one of is exposed to different biological and environmental factors, leading to different responses to situations. In a general time of heightened stress, it is time for us to sit down as a community and discuss the various factors at play. What is the administration doing to curb this heightened level of stress? What was the response of the administration, the counseling center and the student body to the recent tragedies which shook our campus community?
